NotePad++ Configuration application allows you to selectively configure the NotePad++ v2.2 software that is not supported in the Preference's dialog box. This is essentially the back-door into NotePad++ without cluttering up the dialog box and avoid confusion on the arrays of options. There are many parameters are not defined in this version. However, future releases will add more and more configuration options.
Configuring NotePad++:
Select the options you want described in the following and the NotePad++ application and then select the "Configure" button.
CheckBox Button: Track Buttons - This tracks the mouse's selection inside the NotePad++ buttons. Otherwise, it will instantly selects the button and invokes the command without any mouse tracking.
CheckBox Button: Use Temporary Memory - This uses combination of application and system memory provide in System 7. Otherwise, it only uses the application memory. Note, this option is ignore in System 6.
CheckBox Button: Allow Movable Dialogs - This allows the dialogs to be moveable. Note, this button should not be selected if you are using Super Boomerang or Directory Assistance II.
CheckBox Button: Use Fast Case - This allows fast upper, lower, and captialized text setting without regard to world scripting character systems. Note, this should be not selected for Kanji and other double-byte script systems. This only works in Roman character system.
Radio Button: Normal text selection - This hilites double-clicked word.
Radio Button: Extend text selection - This hilites double-clicked word and any preceding tab or space character. This particular feature is found in MS Word word-processor.
Radio Button: Extra text selection - This hilites double-clicked word and any preceding one or more tab or space characters.
Popup Menu: Print Header - This sets the default print's header font, size, and style during the page's printing operation if the "Print Header" check-box is enabled in the Print's dialog box.
Popup Menu: Title - This sets default title's text area height.
Text Box: Memory/Block - This sets the minimum total available memory needed without prompting "Warning, running low on memory" error message. Note, the number to be entered is in K bytes (i.e., 1K = 1024 bytes) of memory.
